Pinterest Test Kitchen #12 ~ Ham and Cheese Sliders

Want to know what one of our favorite recipe pins has been so far? (Besides the brussel sprouts one, I mean.)

Hawaiian sweet roll ham & cheese sliders.

My husband loves them. Like go-ahead-and-make-them-all-the-time-I-can-eat-half-a-pan love.

I’m rather fond of them myself. And so are our friends. Pretty much everybody I’ve ever made them for loves them. If you are making the holiday party rounds then you may want to consider make a pan of these yummy little sandwiches.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pkg of 12 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 1 onion, minced or grated
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 pound shaved ham
  • 8 slices of Swiss cheese
What you’ll do:
While the onions saute` in the butter mix together the mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds in a bowl.
Add the mixture to the butter and onions and simmer for several minutes.
Without separating the rolls slice them in half lengthwise.
Place the bottom half on a foil lined 9×13 baking dish.
Spread 3/4 of the onion mixture on the bread followed by the slices of ham and cheese.
Cover with the tops of the rolls.
Spread the remaining butter mixture on the rolls.
Cover with tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
I think these would be so good on the side with a good bowl of creamy soup, don’t you? Enjoy!
